Hi, my name is Milan Stryja and I am the proud creator of the pictures in this gallery.
I was born in Czech Republic in 1979
but now live on the outskirts of London – my
second home. My love affair with photography started some 10 years ago, in 1999,
when I had my first view of the world through a friend’s SLR lens during my graphic
design studies. Since then I knew that photography would become and remain an integral
part of my life.
The signature of my work is strong, clean contemporary composition, whether portrait,
landscape or detailed macro – a purist approach. For me the camera is a tool to
enable the realisation of my creative ideas. Historically I have used the Pentax
range of cameras and prime lenses. My kit includes Pentax K10D and K100D as backup,
1:2.8/28, 1:2.8/40, 1:1.4/50, 1:3.5/135 prime lenses, 1:2.8/ 16-50 and 1:2.8/ 50-135 zoom lenses. Other
ancillary equipment includes
Bowens Esprit Gemini 500/500 flashes (including travel pack), Metz hammerhead flashgun
(45 BCL), Sekonic L-358 flash meter and Manfroto tripod. To ensure the finished
work communicates the purity of my style, I retouch pictures on calibrated NEC Multisync
20WGX2 Pro monitor.
If you like what you see in my portfolio,
I would be delighted to discuss your photography
requirements. I am still available to do free TFCD photo shoots with experienced
female models.
I would like to thank my wife Tereza for her support and encouragement
during the development of photography career.
